Our escape rooms are based in Llanfyllin, Powys, only 20 minutes from Welshpool, 20 minutes from Oswestry, and 45 minutes from Shrewsbury.

Llanfyllin Workhouse

Surrounded by the gorgeous rolling Welsh hills of Powys, our venue is set in an old Victorian Workhouse. There is a free museum on-site as well as a self-guided tour around the building where you can find out all about its interesting history. There is also the Meadows Café on-site which is open until 3pm on most weekdays and the weekend.

If it’s something more sociable you are after, there are a host of events and activities happening at the Workhouse. So if you time your visit just right, you may be able to turn your escape room game into a multi-day family-fun experience! There is even a campsite and bunkhouse available on-site, so there’s no excuse not to stay a while!

Lake Vyrnwy

Another 20 minutes away lies Lake Vyrnwy. It’s a beautiful spot to have a picnic, hire a boat, stroll round a sculpture park, bird watch or visit the tallest tree in Wales! There’s also a flat 40-minute walk to an impressive waterfall at the end of the reservoir, so there’s plenty to keep you busy.

Powis Castle & Gardens
